rod worth fixing?

Featured Replies

I have an old casting rod 5'5", made by mitchell for the advent of spiderwire.  One of the guides is broken.  What would it take to repair this rod and can it be done?  If I could do it for ten bucks or less, it would be worth it to me.

If you can find someone locally it would be pretty cheap.  The guide will run (depending on what kind) probably a buck or two and a few dollars more for the install.  Lots of tackle shops have a person they take repairs in for or at least know someone local to refer you to.

sodaksker,

flechero is right on, if you can find a local repair guy it would be worth the effort. Shipping out of state even on a 6' tube (which is what you would need to ship it) is around the $20 mark so try and find a local shop that can do the job for you....
