Guys I Need Your Help!!!

Featured Replies

I have a chance to buy a 14 foot Jon boat with a deck and a swivel seat in the back for $400. Oh it also has a trailer. Is that a good deal? The only draw back is there no motor.

What does a similar one with a motor run? U could them price things out and get an idea of its worth as is.

Take the boat out to the water.  If the trailer tires and lights are good, that's a good sign.  If the boat floats and doesn't leak, that's also a good sign.  Well worth the money under those conditions.

I'll have to look on Craigslist or something. But I think all the ones on there have a motor so I'm not sure

You can do a lot with it if it is sound to begin with.

How wide is the boat?  If it's too narrow the casting deck may be rather unstable and not worth using.

My first boat was a 1432 and it was tough fishing with 2 guys sitting on the seats.  I couldn't imagine getting on a casting deck in that boat.
