Few months back I spoke with a Powell rep. He said roughly 90 days a new series similar to the TW series will be released. Any word on this. I did some searching with the limited wifi I had in Ticonderoga and couldn't find anything.

My guess is that he was referring to the "updated" Diesel line... If so, major disappointment from Powell.

Just called them! Rod series is pushed back to end of October. They cannot reveal series name, price point, or any other details yet. But he did say if youre happy with the TW exclusives price point you will be with this.

Well, that sucks. October is pretty much the end of the season up here. Oh well.

Recently started playing around with Alpha Rods, looks like they will recieve my next purchase.

I think they will have a hard time topping their Timax line from last year.  If you haven't checked one out you should.  I wrote a review on mine a couple of weeks ago.  See below.

out my price range awesome rod I bet! this new model is supposedly the TW line up but under a new name and not exclusive to 1 store.

Those TW exclusive rods were awesome so I hope this is true....
