Rod Customization

Featured Replies

Anybody know an easy way to add a hook holder to a rod, I just bought a couple BPS rods and I know they don't come with hook holders... and have no clue if you can add one or something else but if you know how to please give me directions on it... much apprecaited.

Bassassasin12,

If you know how to wrap then you could purchase a wire hook keeper and wrap it to the rod then finish coat it. But in all honesty it would cost you more that you really need to put out.

Take a look at the Fuji® EZ Keeper on my site Or get it at BPS......

Good Luck...

I use the "EZ Keeper" on my saltwater fly rods since none of them had hook keepers either... they work great.  I have always hooked lures on my reels or reel handles even when the rod had a hook keeper since they allow lures and worm weights to bang up the rod.  Now that I have some nice reels, I'm hesitant to do that anymore, so I'm going to put the fuji ez keepers in the split grip area so anything banging around will hit cork.

Thanks a bunch reelmech and flech, just bought an ezkeeper off BPS and feel stupid that I even asked that question considering I looked in their rod and reel accesories section all ready today and must have passed it. Thanks again...
