Keel Weighted Finesse Worm

Featured Replies

I was at my local pond today where the bottom is covered in moss. Dragging a shakeyhead or jig was out of the question. T-rig was still collecting junk around the sinker. I rigged a 3/0 gammy 1/16oz keel weighted springlock with a zoom finesse worm and worked it like a t-rig. Totally mossless. The best thing though is that on the horizontal fall, the tail end flutters like a senko. Looks awesome. Caught a dink. Anyone try this?

Google "Rage Rig." This type of fishing with a horizontal fall is beginning to get pretty popular with some guys on these boards.

Personally, if I'm in that type of vegetation, I turn to weightless presentations. However, I have that type of grass down here so maybe ill have to give it a shot.

Yeah I know about rage rigging craws and creature baits for a horizontal fall but never tried it with a worm. The thing that struck me was the tight wiggle action a 4" finesse worm has. Never expected it, figured it would just fall "silent." Where a senko has a wobble, the finesse worm has a wiggle. Just a different action/presentation for a high pressured urban/city pond. Caught two more, midday yesterday with the same rig, same pond.
