2 piece mh casting rod
6'9" Abu Garcia Veritas MH/F 2-pc and a 6'6" St. Croix Premier MH/F 2-pc. Both rods have Lew's Tourney MB's. I have no complaints about either but I like the St. Croix a little better because of the solid cork grip vs split EVA grip on the Veritas.

Revo S/SX vs Lews Tournament MB
I'll chime in on this one. I have a Revo3 STX and just bought the Lews Tournament MB. The Lews is actually on a Veritas 2.0 MH/F with 40lb braid. The STX is on a St. Croix Premier MH/F with 12lb fluoro. Between the two, I like the Lews better. Could be the difference in rods and line but the Lews casts better and is just as smooth. The STX is lighter but the Lews feels more solid.

Float Tubes Anyone?
I float tube fish. I love it, it's relaxing and keeps me cool in the summer heat. The Creek Company ODC420, Classic Accessories Cumberland, and Outcast Fish/Fat Cat are all comparable. I have the ODC420. I made a rod holder from PVC which holds 3 rods, my GoPro, and a fish finder...The best things about float tubes is the ease of transport in any vehicle, they're lightweight, and can be fully inflated in 2 minutes.

I Think I Just Hooked Into The State Record Bass
I caught a 13lb carp on a jika rigged Paca craw while float tubing Mead this season. What a disappointment...

Help With Drag Setting (For Dummies!)
I like 25% of the line's breaking strength. If I don't have a scale, I'll set the drag tight then loosen it to the point that I can pull some line with my hand. I'll error on the side of too loose, though, because I can always increase drag with my thumb on the spool when playing a fish.

St Croix Premier
I have a 6'6" St. Croix Premier MH/F 2-piece baitcaster/Abu Revo STX setup lined with 12lb fluorocarbon that I use all the time. I usually use it for plastics/light jigs, but have used it for cranks/spinners/chatterbaits. It's definitely a sturdy dependable rod. I was waiting for it to snap reeling in a 13lb carp at Lake Mead but it held up fine. Are there better rods out there? For sure. Is it a good all-around rod. Yes. Would I get another? Yes. "Should I get xxx rod for a little bit more..." is always a slippery slope.

Light Bait Casting Reel
I have a Revo STX gen3 on a St. Croix premier 6'6" MH/F with 12lb P-Line fluoro. It casts 1/4oz just fine...

Jackal Flick Shakeworm
They work...nothing exciting about them. I wacky rig them the same way as I do a senko -- thin strip of shrink tubing in the center with the hook threaded perpendicular through it. Lasts more than one fish this way...

What Is A Good Flurocarbon For The Money??
X3. I use P-line 100% fluoro 8lb on spinning and 12lb on baitcaster. No complaints.

Rod For Lake Trout (Spinners)...lkf Advice.
Not sure how big you are fishing but for small spinners I use a 6' L/MF Fenwick HMX with a Shimano Sedona 1000. Rod loads up well and I can cast a 1/16oz Panther Martin pretty far.
