The Only Federation Affiliated Club in NW Ohio
Hello everyone, I wanted to put this out there for any Ohio anglers; my club, The Henry County Bassmasters has affiliated with the Bass Federation and Ohio Bass Federation. We are the only club in "Region 2" or Northwest Ohio. If you are a NW Ohio, SE MI or NE Indiana angler and want to join a club based around learning, conservation and friendly competition, this is the club for you.

Got my new Revo SX. Some criticisms of Abu Garcia.
I love the Pflueger Patriarch spinning reel. It is one of my favorite spinning reels on the market.

New Club in NW Ohio
Hello everyone. I wanted to post in here to let people know that there is a new club out of the Napoleon area in NW Ohio. It is called the Henry County Bassmasters. It was started this year. We had a total of 8 anglers and already have 12 paid in for next season. It is a club dedicated to learning and growing to sport. We have people of all skill level from new to bass fishing to NPFL anglers as well as ages. If you are looking for a local club that wont break the bank and just goes out to have fun and help anglers grow check them out on Facebook.

Damage from tournaments
In still on the fence when it comes to spawn fishing. But I do believe there needs to be regulations on tournaments. Meaning there is a lake near me that hosts 3-5 tournaments a weekend every weekend from May to September. And not because of the quality of fish but because we are limited in lakes of decent size in my area. And when your holding 50-60 events a year on one lake I bet that mortality rate is above average.

Co-angler Etiquette Question
Yep, had the same situation. What I have learned in my Co career is the higher the competition the better the experience. I fished in local clubs, BFL, Costa, ABA and BASS. Almost all of my "conflicts" came in local clubs and BFLs. I find that their egos are bigger than their skills and once a Co gets on fish you're the reason they aren't catching fish. As for this situation I still stand by my beliefs that if the boater doesn't vocalize his intentions once the spot passes the center console its fair game to me. I also believe their needs to be give and take from both ends. Yes its probably good to ask but at the same time the Co paid to fish to and as a boater you willingly opened your boat up therefore the Co shouldn't have to ask permission to fish water (behind the center console). On the flip side as a boater if you have a specific game plan for a creek just vocalize so everyone is on the same page.

No fishing this spring/year?
I've had two tournaments in the last 3 weeks and another this Sunday. The Rona hasn't stopped me.

Tackle warehouse
TW only has staff there a couple times a week as they are not technically open. They are also shipping smaller orders first before bigger ones. I placed a small order and got it in about a week. I also placed a $600 order of cranks and jigs and it took three weeks. They are just trying to work as efficient as they can.

How would you fish it
This sounds exactly like what I'm fishing. It has one "ramp" however its a dirt ramp. Electric motor only lake as well. I will be fishing from a boat. I'm only interested in this particular water because I keep hearing stories about some really good sized fish in there.

How would you fish it
I found a lake that takes me out of my comfort zone. As you can see in the picture it's a clear, deep lake and those weeds and vegetation cover the entire lake. This photo was three feet from shore and sitting in 12' the shoreline starts at 3'. Not any shallow areas. What would you use to fish a deep clear lake with such heavy submerged vegetation? The bass are also in pre-spawn up here.

How much tackle do you take on your boat
This was my thought and what prompted me to ask here. Every water I fish has a combination of Pike, Musky, Walleye, Saugeye. When I heard he only carries 2 of everything I thought I would be able to fish an entire day with all the bite offs or even break offs from the dang muscles and shells on the bottom of most of my water.

How much tackle do you take on your boat
So I have a bad habit of weighing my boat down with all my tackle. The last thing I want is to need a bait that is sitting in my garage. Well doing some organizing and decluttering over the last couple weeks I really want to take less tackle with me. I don't think I really need 100+ crankbaits with me. So I started watching tackle organization videos on youtube and one video said he only carries 2 of the same bait and color at a time, i.e. 2 1.5 squarebills in sexy shad, 2 packs of green pumpkin senkos, etc. So my question to you all is how many of a specific bait and color do you keep on your boat while fishing?

Return of the XCalibur Squarebill
By far my favorite squarebill. I hope these new ones are just as good. If they are my wallet is going to hurt for a little while. However the squarebills in the BPS flyer are not the same. Those are the cranks from the other "Excalibur" company.

How often do you replace your trays?
I have some Planos that I have used for at least 10 years. Still holding strong. As long as they aren't broken I use them. Be carful putting wet baits in your trays, that's how they rust.

Tatula or Stradic Ci4?
I was torn between recently. Went to my local BPS and actually walked out with a Legalis. It was smoother and felt better than the Tat and was half the price.
