Reel Grease

Featured Replies

What grease can I use from an automotive. Store to re grease a cheap spinning reel.

Marine grease is a good choice and available anywhere including Wally world. The parts store may have Super Lube which is a synthetic, also a good choice.

I really like Super Lube grease.  It is fortified with PTFE and is not so thick that it will slow down the action of a spinning reel.  Buy an 8 oz can at NAPA for around $10 and you'll have virtually a lifetime supply.

The Marine grease would be my suggestion, but there are better options, from most tackle shops and probably cheaper.
