Just got the stradic reel and I broke my fenwick hmg series rod last weekend so I'm trying to get some good advice on rods atm.

 

I'm looking for a 2 piece and I'm pretty set on buying the

 

St. Croix Premier 6"6 MH rod to go along with my Stradic ..

 

is this an all round good rod?

    Before you go out and buy a new rod, look up the Fenwick service website. They might be able to save you some money instead of buying a completely new rod. If you're set on a new rod, there are several threads right now discussing similar topics, but that St. Croix is not a bad choice.
