I am going to my first tournament held by a local bass club, and they require "contest banners", but I can not figure out what it is, or what I need.

Might be a ribbon you tie to the trolling motor.  I have seen that before.  Lets others know you are in the tourny.  Good luck in the tourny!

Here's  a picture of them.  They're a chartruese elastic band you put on your outboard that say "contest" on them. You can pick them up at local tackle stores and bass boat dealerships (Auburn sports, Limit Out Marine, etc).

Wow never have I ever seen something like that.  On a boat or at a store.  Learn something everyday...

It's a Washington/Oregon State thing. I don't think any other state requires them.
