As if I hadn't already had the realization that I have an awesome wife, she stepped it up even further this past week!

First she gave me the green light on upgrading the kayak and I was able to pull the trigger on a slightly used Wilderness Systems Ride 135, awesome.  Then on my birthday last week I open up the bag to find a small Daiwa box with a new Tatula Type R!  Now I must admit though I intend on returning the reel and actually putting that towards a new Lowrance 4x HDI for the new yak, which she of course was cool with since she's great.  In fact keeping the reel only forced the monkey on my back and would obviously require a new rod and down the rabbit hole we go......

Lastly, she calls me last night to say that while riding to her friend's house she passed a nice neighborhood lake that allowed non motorized boats and allowed fishing with no stipulations about being a resident and so forth!  I have the wife scoping out new fishing spots for me, now that's when you know you hit the jackpot!!!!

Congratulations, just got married huh?! :laugh5:

J/K, J/K...That's awesome! Good Luck!

HAHA almost!  we've been together nearly 8 years now so I guess she can tolerate me!  Just glad i've got her thinking about new fishing spots for me rather than new items to add to my chore list!

As Admiral Ackbar would say "IT'S A TRAP!!!!"

she's not much for fishing herself, but she'll go every now and then.....   but the dog, he goes almost every trip....

she's a keeper :Copy_of_icon_thumright:

Your dog looks like he wants to have a snack - don't think my dog would be a good fishing partner as he probably wouldn't stay in the boat.

haha...  he sniffs a couple times and that's it.... he doesn't pay much attention to them anymore.  but when he's ready to hit the bank for a bathroom break, he'll jump off no matter where we are!
