You can buy 3' of tubing for $4. Cut to length for different size hooks and for trailer hook keepers

I think he is using it to make no weedless baits weedless. Tubing would work but I dont think it will have the same give as this product

use do-it hitching posts. not only are you weedless but it stops ur plastics from tearing up while battling fish. i now use them on 60 deg jig hooks for my T rigs instead of off set hooks. you can easily catch 10+ fish on the same T rigged senko. and also for punching. you can punch nasty stuff and land multiple fish w/o the beaver tearing.

Yes I have actually tried these and you're correct they do work. Depending on the tackle you intend to fish them on it might take a little trial and error to get them positioned "just right" for the best possible hook set but yes they do indeed work and are worth looking into.
