Another Tarpon

Been on a pretty good roll this is about the 10 th one I've had on the line in the last 10 days.  Today I had the good fortune of another fishermen there with his 36" pier net so we could lift it up.  I tried to pick up for a pic but was exceptionally slippery, so I opted just to get back ibn the water quickly.

One of these days I'll get to FL for some awesome saltwater fish. Although my bucket list is to catch some of the monster FL strain large mouth bass....

I'll take whichever come first!

Can you catch tarpon on the flats? In like 4-10 feet of water?

Oh yes, many times I have been down to key west and our fishing guide put us on crazy numbers of tarpon in 3-4feet of water. It was pure awesomeness!

That does sound awesome... I go trout fishing on the flats but I always love hooking up with bigger fish, I've always wanted to catch a tarpon! I will one day!

We don't have flats in Boynton but the water for the most part is less than 10'.  Most of the ones I catch are inside the inlet off a sea wall or at the end of the jettie.
