melting powerbait?

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone has melted down powerbait like you can other plastics to repour it to something else.  Can it be done or is there something different to the formula that it wont turn out right.  Thanks

No problem. I purchased 5 bags of a 100 of the 6" grubs (rootbeer) years ago and I have melted them down and repoured 5" and 6" swimbaits. It doesn't seem to burn any easier or pour any different than MF or Lurecraft plastic. Make sure you have good ventilation, because it smells. In addition, it does retain the "PowerBait" smell after it has been melted.
