  1. No problem. I purchased 5 bags of a 100 of the 6" grubs (rootbeer) years ago and I have melted them down and repoured 5" and 6" swimbaits. It doesn't seem to burn any easier or pour any different than MF or Lurecraft plastic. Make sure you have good ventilation, because it smells. In addition, it does retain the "PowerBait" smell after it has been melted. John
  2. Thanks for reply. My boat is 18 foot fiberglass center console that I use for fishing the bays and inshore. I wasn't going to buy the Motorguide with the transducer in the head of the motor, but thanks for that good information. Is the digital steering very responsive? Does that type of system hold up in saltwater or should I go with a cable system? Thanks again. John
  3. What is the best way to paint spinnerbaits? What type of paint sticks to the lead the best? How does 1-shot sign paint work? Also, what is the best way to bend .062 spinnerbait wire? All I need to do is put a bend at the end in order to attach a swivel for a blade. Thanks John
  4. I am considering a new trolling motor for my boat and I need some help. Has anyone used/have a Motor Guide Digital? I am looking at a DS82FB 82 thrust motor. I have never used a trolling motor with digital steering, so any information would be helpful. Also, has anyone used a Minn Kota Riptide handheld with 3X steering? What are the pros and cons of a foot control verses a hand held. Thanks for the information. John
