Swimbaits Are Too Big

Featured Replies

His mouth is the size of the treble!

So which one was the lure, Ha.  Do you have rainbows stocked in that lake?

I get 6" bass chasing 8" swimbaits all the time.  They don't know how big they are but I know how big they think they are.

Actually mainly brook trout (and yes there are some BIG girls in there, that I have yet to figure out). Bass that have never seen a trout in their life will eat trout patterns though.

Your swimbait wasn't too big, that bass was just too small.

Is that a spro?

I thought bass had to be a minimum of 8lbs to hit a swimbait.. Good to know I can put down the drop shot and start thorwing my swimbaits again :laugh5:

Yep, 6" floater. I have caught piles of fish on it, they may not be a flashy $100+ piece of art but they get the job done.

That's the important part. I have a 9" ms slammer. It's one of the cheapest hand made swimbaits you can get. At $50 I still think it's not cheap but compared to an Xl nezuma rat it's like a fisher price toy. Joining SU and seeing those people collections just blows my mind.
