Savage Gear Armored Tube Worm

Featured Replies

Looks like a fine alternative to the higher priced/less durable Senkos.

I think I'll be checking these out in the near future.

I'm waiting for them to get in...I really want to try them out, sick of 1 senko, 1 fish.

The ICAST video also shows the worm to have great action.  Looks like a winner.

Is the uh, rubber O-ring trick no longer sufficient?

I tried the rubber o ring with the o-wacky tool and I lose 3 on casting alone. Stopped using it after that.

Hmmm..thats interesting.   Cant relate though, I havent had that problem before.   Ive used both O-ring and zip-tie methods, and both seem to work without any problems.

(Now watch..I probably just jinxed myself.)

I am always amazed by the incredible lengths people go to, to try to make senkos work better.  There are baits out there with as much, if not more action, and last for fish after fish.  Still, the ingenuity shown here is neat.

Agreed, I tend to be of the opinion that if I have to put forth that much ingenuity just to keep my bait working properly, I would probably opt for something else.

I won't but actual senkos anymore. I can get 64 stick worms for $14 shipped in any color/flake combination that I choose.

Where at? That's a pretty awesome deal... I would guess E** but I understand if you don't wanna share.... How you like them?

Yeah just E***

I haven't ordered since the beginning of the year but I'd assume the price is still the same. The ones that I got, I like a lot. They're pretty soft and seem durable so far.

I realized I messed up on the amount also. I got 48 worms for $14 shipped. Three packs of 16 worms of my color choice. There was a mixup on one batch of worms so I was sent a replacement pack at no charge. That's where I got 64 from.

The baits work properly however they get lost or destroyed by fish. Obviously Gary Yamamoto wants that because it's built in obsolescence. If they lasted forever he'd be a much poorer man.
