what do you all think is better the wire in the boddy for the hook eyes or the screw in eyes

The biggest percentage of baits are not through wire, most of the through wired baits are custom made.

Salt water and musky fishermen will sometimes request through wire baits, then go by a plastic bait which uses only a little figure eight line and hook hangers. Screw eyes or twisted wire will work very well for 99% of the freshwater baits.

I use Createx waterbased paints and both Devcon 2ton and Envirotex lite epoxy.
