New Daiwa S Rods And Veritas 2.0

Featured Replies

Have any of you guys had your hands on the new daiwa s rods? They are 89-99$ at ***, look decent for the price. Looking to get a few new rods soon.

Also looking at the new veritas rods. I liked the lightness and balance of the previous generation veritas rods, but the tip on the ones I've tried in the past seemed pretty stiff.

If anyone has any time with either of these rods yet, I'd like to hear what you think about them.

I doubt anyone has had their hands on the s rod. I want one but there is very little info.

Same here on the daiwa S rod.

I have a veritas 2.0 medium power winch model and I like it.

I have a veritas 2.0 medium power winch model and I like it.

I went to bps today to feel my way around a few rods, and messed around with a new 2.0 winch. I believe it was 7'6, and the tip was way stiff for my liking for a cranking rod. But the regular veritas casting rods felt nice.

I was also surprised when I checked out the daiwa tatula rods and the daiwa Lexa rods. The Lexa rods felt pretty nice for the price.

Yea I know, but my 7'8 deep diving crank rod has a good bit more of a moderate tip than the veritas. Idk how I would like the action of the winch, but like I said I liked the feel of the casting rods.
