How Are You Liking Your 6'10" Mhxf Tec Spec Elite Casting Rod?

DSG has had them on sale.  I picked up one tonight....44% off.  Tag says "Spinnerbait" but I have to assume it should do well with jigs...although shorter than some would like.

I have one as a beater rod for shore and reservoir fishing. Clearanced speed spool on so $200 combo for $100 whoo hoo!

Lol back on topic. It would def work for jigs and is surprisingly sensitive for the price. It has enough backbone for jogging but enough tip for squarebills and walking baits as well. Great all round rod

Thanks for the info.  Appreciate it.

I have a similar outfit....except it isn't a beater.  $400 MSRP for $225.  My middle grandson thinks it is his.  :teeth:  An XMLTi with a TP.

If I ever were to consider any combo a "beater combo" it would be the Lightning/Procaster...about $105 for less than $50.  Both exceptional products for the money.

This is probably of no help to you but I have one of the previous generation Tec-Spec spinnerbait rods and really like it for the price. $50.00 or so. It's a 6'8" medium fast so take it for what it is. Pretty irrelevant.

I have the same rod.  They sell for $59.99.  I think they are still in production as DSG still has several at the regular price.  I agree.  They are another nice rod for the money.  Irrelevant or not it is nice to hear a favorable comment about a line of rods that seldom get mentioned.  Thanks.
