I had written in a while ago about a wooden top water lure that had developed several small cracks in the top clear finish. Went to the cosmetic counter at the local Wal-Mart and asked the lady there about some really tough clear finger nail polish. After giving me a really funny look  , she recommended Revlon Extra Life clear top coat. It worked really well!

 For those of us that aren't set up to do a complete refinish, I thought I would pass this along....
