Not much to say, I was tinkering around with the SK Smokin Rooster, and I recently discovered that it also looks really nice as a topwater presentation.

 

 

The Smoking Rooster is a bait I discovered this year.  Well, not discovered but gave a fair shot.  It quickly became one of my favorite pitch baits when I wanted more action than a beaver.  I also caught fish swimming it over pads and dropping it into holes, kind of like a weighted toad.  Great bait.

I've had great success fishing the rooster weightless with a slow retrieve so it swims just under the surface like a wake bait. It gets hammered.
