Medium Light Casting Rod

Featured Replies

Edit - I just went to pull the trigger on a recon but TW won't allow you to split payment between two credit cards. Dang!

Buy a TW gift card with one of your credit cards, apply it to the cart, and use the other card for the balance.  If you are not in a hurry they put the gift cards at 10% off a few times a year.  Get it and then wait for a sale.

BTW - I have the Dobyns DX701C and would recommend it or the 702.

I'll remember that. My recon 713 will be arriving today.

Your gonna love it!

Curious to hear your review. This is a rod I'm looking at.

I'll be fishing it on Monday. I plan to at least land a few pickerel on it and hopefully a few bass too. Out of the rod tube it looks good. Build quality is nice. Straight guides and no extra epoxy on the guides. It's extremely light. With a fully spoolled px68,the total weight is 10oz. Balance point with that reel is just above the reel seat nut. I've never owned a ml casting rod so I have nothing to compare it to head to head.
