I have a Lowrance Elite 5DSI and a Lowrance Elite 4 HDI on my boat now. I want something with a larger screen to mount on the front of my boat on the trolling motor. I don't need a GPS just a good sonar. I do like the features on a Lowrance but I am open to suggestions. I just need to stay with my 600.00 budget. Any suggestions?

    You might be able to land a Gen I hds 8 for that price if you look at the for sale here.

    For that you can get a open box or new HDS 7 GEN2 touch screen on ebay. not sure if it would come with a transducer though
