I picked this thing up last year, really just as a goof.   It was something different, and I like things that are different. But low and behold, I actually caught a fish with it recently.

 

It was a vicious little 1lb'er, with a lot of spunk.  

 

So, score one for the eel.  Guess its a keeper.

I watched the Bill Dance show where that is all he was using in his aquarium and i have to admit, the bait looks pretty cool.  never did buy one though.

I still have one somewhere, never caught a fish on it.

I've caught quite a few fish on it. Decent sized too. I find the bite on it to be super finicky though, and I've never been able to connect the dots on why somedays they will crush it and then other days in similar conditions and exact same areas- nothing. I honestly haven't thrown it in a year or more. ...maybe longer. I had completely forgotten about it! Thanks for reminding me. .....it gave me an idea!

Got one...never had much luck with it other than getting it fouled with weeds and muck.  It seemed to snag everything for me.  Oh well...glad you like it.
