Buggs Island

Hit Buggs Island for a club tournament on Saturday, October 4th and it was not fun.

Blue bird skies had the bass going deep.

Windy with high gusts made boat handling a challenge.

Pool was 300 which means that the "bushes were NOT in the water" thereby eliminating the bank fishing in the grass, bushes and trees.

I caught three: two on a Bandit 100 Sexy Shad crankbait and one on a Carolina Rig.

Not one bite on a plastic other than the Carolina Rig lizard or a jig and pig.

Docks were vacant of fish.

Guys who did well fished the Carolina Rig all day in deeper water.

Was a beautiful day on the lake, otherwise, and I enjoyed the adventure.

Got back to trailer boat and had a flat tire. Guys fixed it and away home we went.

I went down there for vacation with my family in August and it was fun fishing then even if i caught only one.LOL . It was a tiny one caught off the pontoon. I didn't catch a thing by our cabin except catfish.

Sam do you know who and what won the tournament.

Bad day fishing beats a lot though

Reb, oops!  my mistake.

I can find out at my office.

I think it was Paul Hudson throwing a Carolina rig.

I will try to remember to let you know.
