Powell Rods

Featured Replies

On their website it looks like they are no longer selling Endurance or the regular Max rods. Just their new line of MAX 3D rods coming this month. Why would they get rid of one of their best selling rods? I already emailed them asking if they discontinuing the Endurance lineup. Still waiting for a reply

All the endurance rods are on clearance at TW which is a sign they are gone. I've read the max 3d is a combo of the Max and endurance blanks

I spoke with Keith about this new series of rods. It's supossed to be an all new blank that's just as good if not better than the endurance blanks. They're also using popular lengths and powers from both series. There was no mention of stopping production on the Endurance series and I would hope that's not the case. It's my favorite rod for $150 and they're hard to beat at $200.

Powell isn't discontinuing the Endurance, I just bought a Timax about a month ago and talked to Keith about the endurances. I was concerned about having to warranty my endurances in the future and asked your same question. Powell is a great company and will do whatever they have to keep the customer happy. I wish they hadn't discontinued the 694 but now it will be available in the new max lineup, supposed to be sweet rods.

I have the old max it's a nice rod. I bought it because I hated the color of the endurance blank;). That new 3d sounds good I might have to try one!
