I have a bass pro lite special, the older silver ones, given to me by a friend. The reel came completely taken apart and I was wondering if anyone has a schematic for it? I can figure out where everything rise in the reel goes except a black bar that is part of the spool button engage/disengage. It's the bar or piece that the bottom gear on the main gear pushes to re-engage the button when the handles are turned. Just not sure how to configure it in there

A schematic won't do much more for you than you already mentioned in your post. They're really just a parts list. If you want to send it in I'll go all through it making sure everything is there and in good shape. Otherwise, you can contact me offline and I'll see if I can walk you through it some.

I hope you get that reel working.  It should be a good reel for you to throw light lures with.  I have no problem bombing 3/16 oz. Shad Raps with the older gold colored Carbonlites.  The Prolite uses a smaller frame and was designed for finesse....far as I know....which isn't much.  :teeth3:

I think I've got my parts list/schematic laying around somewhere. I'll try to remember to upload it this evening when I get off work.

Just FYI - the original BPS "Prolite Finesse" reels (with the reputation for being good for lighter baits) were gold in color.   Since the original Prolites were discontinued in 2009, BPS has recycled the Prolite name at least twice - each time with a reel that has practically nothing in common with the original Prolite.

One has to pay attention to which Prolite one is referring to.... ;)

Don't believe I've ever seen a Prolite....only read a little about them.  Thanks for the information.  I do know that the older gold colored Carbonlites are the desired ones.  Sure like mine.  :teeth:

PRL05HC, the third, and final, model of the original Prolite Finesse line...

To the OP - sorry for drifting on your topic.
