St.louis Missouri Fisherman.

I don't know about "honey holes", but Busch Wildlife Area has a bunch of lakes.  The stock some with trout int he winter- some are C&R and some are catch and keep.  They also have rental boats, so check it out if you're close.

Well you've got about 2 hours of area to cover in a car if you are open to all of Saint Louis. Any more specific location details? Maybe point you in a better direction.

Bush Wildlife would be your best bet.

Go to the park office and get a park map. Find the artificial lures only lakes and focus on these.

Lake #16 is a good one.

You can rent jon boats for the day. Bring a trolling motor and battery.

Simpson Lake in Valley Park is a good lake too- you'll need a boat. Murky but good bass and crappie there.

Or skip both and fish Pyramid State Park in Illinois and you'll never ask another where should i fish question again- its just that good.

Pretty sure Busch boat rental is done for the season.. not positive though. You can still bank fish and hit the winter trout stocked lakes.

Boats are done for the year. They have removed the boats from the ramps. #16 is a good lake, #31 has a lot of little ones in it, and the last time I checked, #32 was closed because of a fish kill that happened last year. The MDC website has trout stocking schedules on it.
