Water temp 69*

Light stain

Winds 10-15 from the east

Took out the wife (my favorite fishing buddy) had the place practically to ourselves with the exception of some guys in a green nitro ran east to us27 and let the wind blow us west to the end of the south east canal. Tons of dinks eating senkos and trick worms caught a 2-3 lber and shook of two more that were pretty heavy probably 4-5 lb range. I was using a creature bait called a big nasty by new wave. They sent me a pack to product test. They were awesome. I pitched and flipped all the pockets and points along the bank the fat girls were tight to the bank and wanted the bait barely hopped, faster action got nada. Not a bad day maybe going back out tomorrow.

Nice Jose!! Battling winds on a tin boat is not easy. I would give 27 a try. Launch right before the entrance of the Holey Lands. Its a little ramp tucked in just South of the construction of the new flood gate. Fish the finger canals. The cover is alot more diverse than the Holey lands. We landed several nice fish there last weekend.

Cool beans brother. I appreciate the tip. I was throwing the bait on a 1/2 ounce tungsten to make the bait easier to handle in the wind . I think that might have helped the fatties shake it out once that weight started flopping around their jaws. Yeah no doubt I usually trim the merc outta the water when I run the electric so if I am going up current it won't create drag but going down wind today I had to leave it down otherwise the stern would get blown sideways on me. The outboard in the water created just enough drag to slow my drift. Maybe I'll try 27 tomorrow if I can get back out. Tight lines brother

Good luck... yeah i always leave my main motor down. Lvg it up allows the back to swing on you way too much.
