Alley Fishing 2/1/15
That's crazy, I've had a few check me out and try to grab a buzz bait sometimes but never has one come that close to my boat. I Think the one with the tail in the air and mouth open was definitely trying to warn you. If you weren't careful he might have tried jumping in your boat. Carrying a pistol is a good idea for sure.

Fishing Marsh Flats At Holiday Park
I've only been back in the flats once and didn't see any signs of life. I entered through the 2nd or 3rd entrance off the L67. I am just wondering basic rules of thumb in there. What should I be looking for? It all looked the same with no targets that stood out to cast at no structure or cover just marsh. I didn't venture very far in there maybe a 1/2 mile or so. I appreciate any advice guys thanks

Holey Land 1/15/15
One big one was on a wacky rigged senko the other on a biffle bug Texas rigged. Got almost all the other ones on senkos tight to the bank.

Holey Land 1/15/15
Foggy overcast morning water temp 69* slight stain no current 5mph wind from the north. Was there on my own from sun up to sundown and the fish were tearing it up. Watermelon red plastics were the ticket, although I did catch em on spinner baits, texas rigged creature baits, senkos seemed to be the way to go. Finished the day with 16 fish two of them a 4lber and 3lb 11ozer. Also a bunch of two pounders. Still didn't see any beds but lots of fish in the canals.

Alligator Alley Mm38
No I hadn't I've been gone working but got a weeks vacation so I'm trying to catch em up. I plan on going to the canals off 27 by holey land tomorrow. Gonna leave house at 5 am so I can be in water by first light and probably staying till dusk. I just can't get enough time on the water. No I didn't see any beds at the alley water was Incredibly dirty and no visibility. I am working on my weakness which is surely topwater so I'll probably throw frogs most of the day tomorrow as well. I'll post another report. I have a pic of the 4lber but it's too large and I can't post it and I can't figure out how to resize it.

Alligator Alley Mm38
Sky partly cloudy, water. Stained 70*, wind from the east at 10-15 mph. I fished both north and south sides around the mm38 mark. Lots of blue gills popping the cabbage drifting down the canals. Fished various hollow body frogs most of the day trying to get more proficient with them. Didn't have so much as a bite until noon I was there all day from 9 am till 530 pm only bite of the day was a 4 lber hugging the bank on a live target frog.

Holy Land 11/22/14
Cool beans brother. I appreciate the tip. I was throwing the bait on a 1/2 ounce tungsten to make the bait easier to handle in the wind . I think that might have helped the fatties shake it out once that weight started flopping around their jaws. Yeah no doubt I usually trim the merc outta the water when I run the electric so if I am going up current it won't create drag but going down wind today I had to leave it down otherwise the stern would get blown sideways on me. The outboard in the water created just enough drag to slow my drift. Maybe I'll try 27 tomorrow if I can get back out. Tight lines brother

Holy Land 11/22/14
Water temp 69* Light stain Winds 10-15 from the east Took out the wife (my favorite fishing buddy) had the place practically to ourselves with the exception of some guys in a green nitro ran east to us27 and let the wind blow us west to the end of the south east canal. Tons of dinks eating senkos and trick worms caught a 2-3 lber and shook of two more that were pretty heavy probably 4-5 lb range. I was using a creature bait called a big nasty by new wave. They sent me a pack to product test. They were awesome. I pitched and flipped all the pockets and points along the bank the fat girls were tight to the bank and wanted the bait barely hopped, faster action got nada. Not a bad day maybe going back out tomorrow.

Florida Guys Check In Here.
Hey y'all I was wondering if you guys have fished yesterday or today I'm on vacation and fished both days on usually productive waters with just about every bait and lure and managed 1 dink yesterday on a senko and another 1 lber today on a trick worm. Fishing has been incredibly dead. All I can think of is that this ugly weather we have had has got the fish hunkered down refusing to eat. Have you guys experienced the same, or have I just been in a funk?

Florida Guys Check In Here.
Hey guys, I fished the canals off the side of us27 near Clewiston today managed 4 dinks lots of floating masses of weed drifting south with a lot of current it appears that they are pumping down lake okeechobee. There were literally hundred of bream and blue gill feeding off of stuff on those floating weeds. The bigger bass didn't seem to be eating too well today.

Thanks dude. The only time I can see them working is during the spawn to get defensive females to attack them while on the nest but in that case a rock with a hook duct taped to it would probably work too so that doesn't say very much for the turtles lol

Braid Backing On Baitcasters
I am going to start doing this to see if I like it. I like to throw lightweight jerk baits for peacock bass and they don't cast well on my bait caster so maybe this will help. However the braided lines sold at bps are super expensive to use as backing I know because I bought a 600 yard spool to back two baitcasters then said no way and returned it before I even left the parking lot. I ordered a spool from amazon super cheap I don't give a rodents gluteus about the quality of it as I am just using it to fill space on the reel

Hey I was wondering. Have you guys tried the bombshell turtle soft plastics? The guy at bps swore by em and I can't get a whiff on em. Let me know if y'all have had any luck on em
