  1. Hey guys me and the wife are heading on a bass pro shops road trip. Leaving our home in miami headed to the Fort Myers store then up to the Orlando store. I plan on being in orlando by early evening today. I hear that there's some good bank fishing areas up that way. Any suggestions on where I could make a few casts would be really appreciated. Thanks guys
  2. I just got some yumm money minnows only threw one once briefly haven't had much time to try again anyone else use em?
  3. Oh brother can't we all just get along and fish lol
  4. During week its 75 for 5 hours and weekends is 45 for 3 hours last I checked I also wanted to do same thing but never did I don't know any spots that way but would imagine the canals around there have plenty of fish
  5. Welcome I live in Hialeah but fish Pembroke Pines plenty. Nice catch.
  6. I fished vista view today bunch a dinks and a couple 2 lbers. They were eating senkos and trick worms both watermelon red. Making a run up us27 to fish the canals near the big o.
  7. Went back today caught 9 more between me and the little lady. She was all excited because she never hooked one on a senko until today. All in about an hours time. Caught one that I recognized from yesterday due to a small hole in cheek from my spinner bait but no sign of moby dick lol. Work won't allow me to fish daytime during week so I'll give it a rest until next weekend then it's on again.
  8. Never had that happen reason but I'll be on the lookout. Gotta love a Christmas present. Lou she was at a small pond off highway no canals linked to it she's still there. Like the blues brothers said I'm on a mission from god. Lol I gotta catch her
  9. Never tried it but read on here that wacky rigged senkos suspended from a bobber work good because bobber on choppy water keeps the senkos dancing below. Just a thought.
  10. Thanks for the help guys I may try to go today when she jumped I saw her open mouth. It looked big enough to swallow a softball. If she won't hit that same spinner bait again what bait would you guys throw to catch a big un' like that? The water is gin clear about ten feet deep, some weeds on bottom but mainly bulrushes and cattails around edges.
  11. Dang I wish I knew about all the moccasins at vista view. I was standing in knee deep water to get past some vegetation never saw any snakes thank god. Thanks for the heads up
  12. I have been crushing them on spinner baits
  13. Nice fish brother the one in my profile pic weighed 5.5 lbs fought like a monster.
  14. Thanks for the reply down here in south fla they are starting to spawn waters in high 70's. If she was on a nest it was deeper there was a tiny ledge next to bank then a drop off to about ten feet of water. I'm guessing she was cruising ledge looking for a meal and I just happened to be there. Managed to land 12 bass today from this small pond just off the exit ramp of the highway. Thanks for your input.
  15. Windy equals slight chop. I've heard a wacky rigged senko suspended from a bobber will keep wiggling due to bobber bouncing on the chop. I've never tried it but I've heard it's effective. Good luck
  16. I don't have access to a boat was thinking of fishing all the rest areas. Do you guys think there will be some bass to be had near the rest areas?
  17. Been crushing them on spinner baits with a white Cajun trailer. Also a pumpkinseed trick worm is good if they are feeling slow.
  18. So fishing my local honey hole a monster largemouth about 8 lbs which is pretty good for bank beating in my area slammed my spinnerbaits. She hit this thing like a freight train fought her for a few minutes till she jumped shook her head real hard and threw out my spinner bait. My question is how long should I stay away before trying to hook up again. I tried a few hours later but nothing doing. I'm guessing a should wait till next week to give her time to settle down again. I should have stuck my rod tip down in water to try and stop her from jumping but you gotta learn from your mistakes. Thanks guys.
  19. I caught my personal best on Power pro 30# braid tied directly to a super spook. I was walking the dog up against some lily pads and she nailed it. However I just don't know if bass care or not so nowadays I like to use a flourocarbon leader just in case.
  20. I am off tomorrow and thinking of trying out the alley I don't have a boat so will be hitting up the rest stops. This will be my second trip out there, any fan favorites as far as areas to target? Thanks for any tips maybe I'll see some of you guys out there
  21. Hi y'all. I'm down in the Miami area. I used to bass fish years ago as a teen and recently have renewed my passion for it. I usually fish the glades and lakes and canals from alligator alley down towards south Miami. Also my mom lives up in the Melbourne area and I sometimes fish with her up there. I fish from the bank but aspire to get a bass boat at some point or at least a Jon boat to hold me over till then. Hope to see you in here and out there.
