According to news reports the gang rape at UVA never happened and Rolling Stone Magazine and UVA got punked.

 

Rolling Stone Magazine is supposed to release a retraction of the story today or tomorrow.

I could say something about the dumb reporters out there but one has to realize that there was no reason to not believe the story.

 

Seems there is no victim; the fraternity induction party was not held in the fall but the spring; and no witnesses they can find.

 

What is good out of the situation is that it brings up a serious situation on college campuses that has to be addressed.

With today's instant gratification society sadly the days of Woodward and Bernstein are by the wayside.

It is all shock and awe headlines now without facts to the back them up.
