Bps Crankbait...

Featured Replies

I just recieverd the BPS nitro shad dancer crankbait i ordered on black friday (2$ and change) does anyone know if they're any good? I only ask this because they feel fairly cheap (especially for the original non-sale price) IMO. the hooks are sharp dont get me wrong and it looks nice but it's just made of a really light cheap plastic material. I'm not stressing though, you get what you pay for. lol

Does anyone have this bait that can speak on it?

I haven't tried this particular one but I've had good luck with BPS stuff.  They catch fish, run true, and at that price you can lose it and not stress about it.

My XPS stuff is pretty durable. For the price of $2.50 that's a steal!

Not sure why, but the couple BPS cranks I had were determined tree-seekers.  Lost both.  One's still in a tree.  The other came out rather violently and the bill broke off on the stern of the boat.

that stinks, nothing worse then the loss of a crankbait.

I did a review on their XTS , not XPS crankbaits during late summer. I can tell you that they are cheap in price and they look cheap but something about them that make fish want to eat them, I'm not sure if it is the size or action or a combination of the two but we did really well with them. We did well on big smallmouth with a few over the 5lb mark with 2 colors, blue chartreuse and glimmer shad, I think they stopped making the blue chartreuse as it isn't listed anymore.  I was with my friend fishing, he was using one and I had on a KVD 1.5 and we both were catching fish but his fish were larger and they were taking it deep every time while mine had the rear treble a good bit of the time. I ended up buying some and it wasn't a one time thing, we got into some fish and I was catching smallmouth just like my buddy was, and it is a cheap bait but it held up and is still in my box. I did change the hooks out, I won't lie, the hooks aren't great on the BPS cranks but for the price I think they are ok.
