New Information on St. Croix SCIII (Avid series)

Relayed From Karen @ Bingham Enterprises

Coming this Fall will be the retooled AVID (SCIII) models of blanks. The new color will be a carbon pearl finish (They have a glossy medium gray finish). There will be a few new models and sorry to say some of your old favorites may be gone from the 2008 series. Prices on average have risen about $5 per blank.

With all this said we are making room for the new blanks and are giving you a chance to stock up or get your favorite models in the old matte gray finish. We are running a special sale on all in stock Avid blanks- you must e-mail me direct for the list which will have quantity available, original retail prices and your special pricing.

Please specify if you are a wholesale or retail account when asking for this information.

Thank you!

Sincerely-

Karen Hapka

Tight Wraps All!!!

Mr. Greene, do you know if the new blanks are going to match the old blanks performance-wise? I've seen a lot of new and improved stuff that really wasn't!

As an aside - The rod I spoke to you about - I gave up!! Having a buddy of mine build me one based on weight - if it's not needed, it doesn't go on it ;) The best thing is I have to meet him at the lake to receive the rod :o

I'm shocked that it's that small of an increase in price!!  ;) Of course that's likely a wholesale jump so us retail customers will pay a little more I guess.

damnpeoples,  The new blanks should outperform the old ones...  until now the following only applied to SCIV and SCV blanks.

INTEGRATED POLY CURVE® (IPC®) TECHNOLOGY

ADVANCED REINFORCING TECHNOLOGY (ART)

As you may know, most high-performance rods are designed using compound tapers that employ three to four measured transition points along the blank where the slope of the taper changes. Those same transition points, however, can also create points of weakness on the blank. That's where our revolutionary Integrated Poly Curve® (IPC®) Tooling Technology comes in.

The first process of its kind, IPC® creates tapers that are a continuous curve from the tip to the butt of the rod eliminating all weakening transition points. That means stronger rods. And actions that cast with unprecedented smoothness. It's a remarkable performance breakthrough. And it's exclusive to St. Croix.
