Its 6'8 MH F. Anyone think these would be over kill for jerkbaits or topwater?

I don't think so, I don't have that rod in that series..but I do have a Cumara 1st gen with those specs and it works fine for jerkbaits.

I grabbed two, the o ly sizes they had are 6'8 mh f and 6'10 mh f. I didnt grab the 6'10 because it was rated for 3/8 to 1/2 which I thought was really weird. They have them at Sail in Burlington.

Ah that is the Sail I usually go to.  I haven't been there for awhile though.  Going to see if I can drop by now. 

I use that rod for jerkbaits and topwater. You'll be happy.
