The Rest Is History

Featured Replies

Actress Marilyn Monroe was found dead in August., 1962 and Monroe's story was featured on the cover of  Life, the same  mid-August issue that carried the Rapala story which was entitled "A Lure Fish Can't Resist." The Monroe issue was Life's best-selling all-time issue and the Original  Rapala Minnow  received unimaginable exposure. Within days Ron Weber and Ray Ostrom, partners of the young Normark Corporation, the only distributers of the Original Rapala Wobbler in North America, received three million orders for lure. The rest, as they say, is history.

I just watched niagara the other day... Interesting story on Rapala...

Wait, so Marilyn Monroe was found dead while fishing with a Rapala?  Sorry, I wasn't paying attention...

Hmmm I wonder why people love owning tv stations, radio, websites, billboards, newspapers, magazines?
