Power Pole Micro?

Featured Replies

Im thinking about putting one of these on my 16ft Royalex canoe and just wondering if anyone has used one and what your thoughts are? I know they cost alot but if they work well in rivers thats not an issue to me. Im not going to be dropping this down in class 2 rapids or anything but just curious on how fast of current can i drop this down in. Also mounting options? They make a few different options most are for kayaks and small boats. I would like to have it mounted straight out the back of the canoe and i already have a side tmotor mount so the clamp mount is not an option. I do have decent size gun rails though 1 1/2" wide 1" thick . Probably going to have to do some type of custom mount.

personally i would be nervous using one in a canoe on moving water due to the limited freeboard and how easy it would be for current to get things squirrelly and potentially swamp the boat,

As a life-long canoe enthusiast and frequent paddler, I'd also have to say I would not be using one in moving water.

I have on a 1542 aluminum Jon I love it. Easily the best money I've put towards the boat. I haven't used it on current just winds pushing me around and it works flawless if the bottom is soft. There's a seller on eBay I can refer you to that sells them at a good discount if you make an offer. Mine I just used the regular mount bolted flush to the transom not sure how to do it on a canoe.
