Tatula Type R And Duckett Micro Magic For $210?

Featured Replies

Hey guys. So I am wondering if this is a good deal. I am getting it for my dad but I'm not familiar with the Duckett rods and Tatula Type R used value. It is from a guy who is really into tourney bass fishing and I've used it and everything is good. So is $210 a good deal for them both? The Tatula is a 6.3:1 and the Micro Magic is a 7'3 not sure if that matters. Let me know thanks. I think it's a good deal based on retail but not sure how much they usually go for online. Thanks again!

The reel can be had for $120 new. I see them go for about $100 used. The rod was $160 new but I've never paid attention to what they go for used. I'd say probably $90-100 would be a good guess. Since they have the pro model out now it might be had for even cheaper than $160 new.

So in the end it's entirely up to you. To me it's not a bad buy, but you aren't getting it for some crazy low price either.

you can get the micro magic (not the pro) online for about $100 brand new from simmons sporting goods ebay account. I've got a few from them and they've been great, cheapest ive seen the micro magic new online, not sure about the tatula though, im a lews guy :eyebrows:

You can buy the Micro magic rods on clearance right now for $98.00 and I've bought Tatula Type-R reels for as low as $112 so If it was me I would try to talk the guy down to a flat $200 and jump on it then. They are both really great and it is one VERY fine combo, I have a bunch of that combo and I have not found any that I like better. Your father will LOVE it. Very nice of you to treat your father to such a nice gift. In the end you can buy it New for that same price but if it is in good shape I would just get it and not go through the hassle of ordering it all.
