Lake O In May/recommended Guides

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm taking a trip with the family to florida and will be an hour and a half from Okechobee. I was thinking about finding a guide based on your recommendations, and was wondering what the fishing is like in May. I've never fished fresh water down there so this will be my first time bassin' outside of New York!

As a side note, I would like to take my own gear and lure fish. Thanks

Steve Daniel, next question. Brian.

Our very own BR member, Captain Shane. Is another option as well.

I was down there this past July with some family.  We went out with Mark King and Tom Mann Jr (both out of Roland Martin's Marina) and had a great time.  Would definitely recommend either of those 2.  My dad, brother, and 2 cousins all went with, which is why we had 2 boats.  Neither of my cousins are big fishermen, especially bass, and they both caught fish.

Larry Wright out of Gerrard's in Okeechobee.

Or Mike Jones, or like mentioned Steve Daniels.
