I'm looking for a pitching set up, I want to see what others are using.

I think it depends on what you want to spend and what you can use. I'm sure some people have a $400 reel on a $400 rod and I won't talk about that.

Right now, I have a 7'3" H *** Black with a 7:1 Lew's Tournament Pro with 65lbs PowerPro braid. I did the 7'3" because my rod locker won't fit anything longer.

I am looking to bump to a 7'6" with a telescoping handle. I don't believe the durability, weight, or sensitivity will be an issue. For this option, I'm looking at Cabela's Fish Eagle 50, the Bionic Blade and the Extreme from Bass Pro, and I've seen a couple Daiwa options like the Team Daiwa T and Procyon. Reels I've looked at would be a Lew's Super Duty, Tournament, Tournament Pro, Cabela's Arachnid, and Cabela's Prodigy (on the low end).

Brand is really irrelevant to meme these days. I feel i end up overpaying with a lot of brands. I like a long well balanced rod wit a lot of tip. Mod fast is about right for the action for me, or something that feels a tad faster. MH-XH power. As high speed of a reel I can get away with that's lightweight. I've mostly been using heavy fluoro lately for the line.

Depends, have 3 different set ups for different applications.  2 are 7'11" H, one is XF and other is Mod action.  Then a 7'6"MH.  Two of the reels are *** 8.1:1 and the other is an EXO 100 7:3.1.  One with 40lb braid, the other two 30lb braid.  2 of the rods are Black ***'s and the other is a Quantum Tactical Tour "Hack Attack".

If the handle is getting in the way, you may want to find a rod that has a smaller butt section. Most of mine are short, measuring the handle all together, the longest is 14 3/4".  Longer handles and butt sections limit my pitching motion so I've adjusted to finding rods that fit what I'm looking for.

The telescopic handle just allows the rod black to recede into the handle about 6" to allow for storage. It's not a problem for a lot of people because their rod lockers are 8'+ but mine won't fit a true 7'6"+ rod. If the handle shrinks at least 6" it'll be fine. You would not want to fish with a telescopic rod that wasn't extended.

Dobyns DX795, Daiwa Tatula Type-R 8.0:1, 70lb samurai Braid or 20lb Sunline Sniper.  It works, Well.

I have two. A falcon 73 heavy and a bantam curado and a bionic blade 76 heavy and a bantam curado. I find more often than not the falcon has enough power for both pitching and flipping, therefore I favor it tremendously because it is much lighter and less fatiguing.

I have a MH/F rod and a Tatula spooled with 50lb braid that I love pitching jigs to the bottom of cypress trees with!

I use a 7'3" Medium Heavy Pinnacle DHC5 paired with a Pinnacle LTE in the 7.3.1 Gear Ratio. That combo covers me extremely well whether I am flipping soft plastics or a 3/8oz jig. Its never failed me and has got some big fish out of some tight places. 16-20lb Sunline Sniper doesn't hurt either    

I pitch with pretty much all of my combos. It just depends on what I'm using as a bait. 1/4oz with rage craw,1/2oz jig,wacky worm,ect Line choice and rod power is decided by the cover. I don't have any need for a super stout setup because nothing in my area is that thick. Don't flip very often at all. For lighter duty it'll be the dx 704/Steez with sv apool setup that I can't wait to use this spring. Darn you winter buys.

Too many lol. If had to choose one, it would be my dx 745, chronarch d7 and 22lb sunline shooter. That line is darn near unbreakable.

IF we are talking heavy heavy heavy cover, dx 746, lews super duty 8.0:1 and 65lb braid.

Truth be told I'll pitch with any mh and up I own depending on what and where I am.

I'm looking to upgrade to a D766 Flippin' Stick soon though.

Ha, thanks.  It puts them in the boat that's what counts for me.  That 766 is a GREAT rod.  I'd love a free spool of Tatsu! haha
