I got a cardiff reel on a mojo bass swimbait rod 7'9". I'm throwing 8 in hudds and was wondering how many brakes do u put on to throw these properly.

I haven't messed with the brakes at all.  May look at the tension knob and snug it a little but that's about all I did with my 300.

My cardiff 301 has 1 brake on. The spool tension knob doesn't do a whole lot with a 4oz bait hanging off the end. At least mine doesn't.
