Hey all, I was wondering I anybody could recommend gear to stock a Plano six-tray tackle box. Man, those things are huge! I already have some stuff in there, like:

  • Catfish hooks and bottom rigs and floats
  • 4 and 10 inch Powerbait Worms, Creme pre-rigged worms, Zoom lizards, Zoom Craws, and Powerbait Rib Snakes
  • Livetarget and SPRO Frogs
  • Livetarget mice
  • Storm Arashi squarebills, Livetarget squarebills, Bass Pro Shops squarebills,
  • Chatterbaits, bitsy bugs, A.T. Tackle jigs, 4x4 T-Roy swim jigs,
  • Heddon torpedos, Rebel Pop-rs, Spooks, Lucky Craft Sammys, Livetarget poppers
  • Bass Pro Shops panfish baits and beetle spins
  • Worm hooks and weights and other carolina rig gear
  • Storm swimbaits
  • Spare trebles.split rings
  • Fish grip, pliers, knife, hemos
  • Booyah Pond Magic spinnerbaits, Cavitron buzzbaits
  • Panfish flies
  • Spare line for my panfish rod, medium rod, and froggin' rod

So, I was wondering if you guys could suggest some other baits and terminal and stuff to throw in there. I have the opportunity to fish for bass, panfish, catfish, and pickerel every day. I also get the chance to fish for snakehead, trout, stripers, and the occasional smallie/walleye whenever I go up to Maryland. Please don't just say to stock it with only one bait. Thanks!

Your frogging' rod could probably handle some deeper diving crankbaits. Looks like you have the bases pretty well covered, otherwise.

you forgot 5" senko for largemouth, smallies, walleye and pickerel

you forgot a pencil popper for stripers/bluefish (unless you aren't talking about saltwater)

a spoon would be a great choice that would catch everything.

Panfish hooks, split-shot, smaller balsa floats, you have quite a bit to keep you busy learning for awhile, lol..maybe a few steel leaders, can you fit a minnow bucket in that thing?!!

What panfish baits do you have?

I would add some ringworms - Particularly Chartruese Pepper, Purple/white, and Black/Gold (if you can find it)

Maybe some hair jigs to go along with them.

Throw some Rage Tail Shads in there too.

You missed the universal lure: rooster tails

I have caught everything bass, stripers, pike, panfish, trout on them.

Get a 1/4 and a 1/12 size and you should be covered.

i can fit containers for bait. maybe not minnows, but definitely crickets, nightcrawlers, etc

Some Senkos, Jerkbaits, and Rage Bugs and Rage Craws. and by the way loose the crème pre-rigged worms and save some space. they have no action anyways.

Good Luck!!!

Actually, one of my PB's was recently caught on a creme worm

Get some 3" gulp minnows, some jigheads, some drop shot hooks/weights, and call it a day! .

Seriously, if you want to do some multispecies fishing, gulp minnows will get the job done.

Top it all off with a pack of hot dogs.

Was this in a farm pond? Because in those ponds the bass will take anything that moves.

flutterspoons for everything

With the exception of a roostertail, bucktail and a spoon you're pretty well covered already.

Nope, a bigger lake

Anybody have anything else? Other than spoons, which I will probably be getting, due to all the replies.
