Hello I was wondering if there is any tool out there that will show the water temp for bank fisherman. 

Get a swimming pool thermometer and add as string to one end.

 

Throw it into the water and let it sit for about thirty seconds.

 

Read water temperature.

When people see you doing this, they will ask questions. But it diffidently works. 

I believe the new Deeper GPS will do that, for the tune of 200+ .

I bought a digital aquarium thermometer and it's worked pretty good so far.

+1 for the swimming pool thermometer, I even tie it on a rod and cast it out to read farther out deeper water.
