picked up a 7' Lamiglas Excel 2 glass rod on sale at TW got it in today. sweet lookin blue rod. gotta figure out what reel im going to use but hopefully itll handle most of my cranking aside from the real deep stuff this season

I have the 735 Excel 2 (first one in the country). It is my favorite rod. The 705g is by all accounts an amazing rod.

Is there a way you can get the weight of that rod? I really like the original Excel 705 but it is heavy as it is a straight up E-Glass blank but I think the new Excel 2 is a composite so it should be lighter than the original.
