  1. Sweet i may look into the sv105 then. And go with a medium light rod correct?
  2. Same here. Expensive tackle off the bank or a jon boat
  3. What are some suggestions for a solid finesse baitcaster. SV105? SOL? Either shimano or daiwa. Something that can get me decent distance with small poppers and such
  4. When u say skimpy hardware what parts r u referring to? And on some of Shimanos less expensive options or on the higher end stuff like the Met,etc? Just curious. Ive always been under the impression the Lews/Abu stuff is nowhere near the build quality of shimano/daiwa
  5. Tatula CT Hands down . Casitas 2nd. Ive owned Lews and wasnt impressed in the least bit.
  6. Anyone get their hands on one? Theyve been on backorder for like 2 months now. Ive called and asked when in stock and the date arrived and they still show backorder. My local bps has one model in stock. A spinning rod and it feels ridiculously nice and looks great. Just curious have any of u guys handled any. On one page someone said the blanks were made by NFC. No idea if thats true
  7. Look at Hammer Rods cranking series
  8. My J Dream came in yesterday and wanting to get the cork knobs for it. question is i see japantackle has em for $16 which ones is everyone getting? The plastic coated cork ones or the uncoated? And u buy the Thanks! Also reccomendations on a handle as the 6.3 handle is a touch short
  9. The fuego is probably the better reel even tho the caenan felt fine in my hands. The powell diesel rods can be found for around $50. Been impressed with mine for the price
  10. The only sk2 rod i hav fished was a glass rod. I just didnt find the trigger to be comfortable in my hand. Just much prefer the ecs.
  11. I was set on getting a max 3d until i saw they use the sk2 reel seat. Just not a fan of that. They have a new rod coming out this fall (photos on facebook) and looks like it will have the ecs seat
  12. I use it for everything..aside from froggin or flippin. My brand of choice is McCoy. Great stuff
