Need Help- Bachelor Party

Featured Replies

Okay- my buddy just asked me to be the best man at his wedding. Of course this means I am responsible for his bachelor party. However, what he has requested is that I set up an inexpensive fishing trip for the two of us and 3/4 of our other buddies. We live in Southeast Michigan, 30 minutes north of Detroit. While I know there are plenty of great fishing spots around us, he wants this to be out of state. The biggest problem is that we only have access to two small (10-12ft) fishing boats that we just use on our small local lakes. So here is where I need help....can anyone on here tell me of good fishing lakes that also have boat rentals. I can figure out the lodging and all that stuff once I know the location. I really just do not even know where to start looking as far as finding a solid lake that has some type of boat rental. I don't care if its a fishing boat or a pontoon...just anything that will get us out fishing. We are bass anglers. Mainly largemouth because we fish the smaller lakes immediately around us. However, we do get out on St. Clair and Erie from time to time for smallies. I am hoping to find anything within 10-12 hours drive time from Detroit, Michigan. Thanks!

I have been trying to find the same thing for a vacation in March/April timeframe.  I don't know if Raleigh, NC is too far for you but I came across this in my search.
