Need Help With Power Pole Install

Featured Replies

So recently I have been trying to add a power pole to my 2006 Nitro 591. Bass pro is offering free install on all trolling motors, anchor systems and electronics. When I called the service center they said they couldn't do a standard install because nitro didn't recommend it and said they couldn't unbolt the motor because that happened to not be recommended. Basically they're telling me I can't put one on but I have seen many nitros with power poles. Does anyone know any dealers close to chicago or Milwaukee that may be able to install one for me.

Thanks,

Mike

BPS should do it. Just called my local for BPS buddy for you. Said none of that was an issue. Or it shouldn't be. Said it sounded like either the "professional" that does them is sick/vacation or they just don't want to do them. They had that problem at ours. But, buy a boat and they'll jump through hoops to get them on it. Idk what to do. Maybe try a local boat business. Money is money, no matter who's pocket it comes from.

They're feeding you a crock of crap. I'd call back BPS again at a different time or talk to someone else and see if they'll do it. If not call someone higher up the ladder to complain. If you can't get them to do it for free, any marine dealer can put them on for you.

I agree with both Trent and WIGuide. There's no excuse for a BPS to not do it if they sell them. Our store does it, shouldn't others?

No recommended to unbolt the motor? That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard.
