Elite 3X Di Or Elite 4X Chirp?

One is Di (the 3x at 129$) and the other is chirp (4x at 169$)

There does not seem to be traditional sonar on the 3x, just Di only.

Question is, on a kayak, which do you think I'd benefit more from? I know there is a $199 version with both but let's just talk about the two right now.
