I have a spool of 10lb rapala tough line monofilament... im looking to use it as a leader for my 20lb braid. Im inclined to buy a fluorocarbon or coplymer line on TW but do i really need to spend the extra $ when i have this perfectly fine spool of 10lb mono? Its stretchy, even though the spool says "low stretch" but i guess thats what you get for an $8 spool. Its really tough and strong.. just wondering if anyone has used this?

Go for it, it should work fine.

My leaders are on the short side, seldom more than 2', don't feel there is much stretch with that short a piece.  I don't use that brand, probably should have no problem with it.  I use P line floroclear, Ande and Big Game for my leaders.
